AI changes how you work. It doesn't change what you're responsible for. This section makes the responsibility model explicit: what's yours, what OIT provides, how expectations scale with your project — and what changes when you need university resources.

You are still the engineer

Faster first drafts, less boilerplate, cheap exploration — those changed. Design judgment, security responsibility, code review, and your name on the work — those didn't. When in doubt, come back to one sentence: “I am responsible for this code.” Everything else on these pages is detail.

Ownership is also what makes citizen development possible: because builders own their apps, the university can say yes to hundreds of them instead of a carefully gatekept few.
