Generative AI chatbots like Gemini and ChatGPT are great tools to have as part of your toolbox. This hands-on workshop is designed to move faculty from reactive "AI-proofing" strategies to proactive, design-centric pedagogical integration.
Participants will learn how to strategically use chatbots as instructional design assistants, personal tutors, and tools for critical analysis. We will focus on adapting current assignments to foster AI literacy, ethical transparency, and metacognitive reflection, ensuring that AI enhances—rather than replaces—core learning outcomes. The session will feature practical examples of prompt engineering to create personalized learning experiences, low-stakes practice activities, and complex, process-based assessments.
